Privacy Policy
Statewide Trades & Labour Hire is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (CTH) and the National Privacy Principles contained in that Act.
In the course of providing employment and other services to our clients, Statewide Trades & Labour Hire collects and maintains personal information relating to our candidates and company information provided by our clients.
Information collected
- Statewide Trades & Labour Hire may collect the following information in person, by mail, facsimile, email or via our website:
- Employment details including work history and qualifications
- Information relating to employment, such as tax file number, date of birth, superannuation and banking details
- Postal and email addresses
- Company information including position descriptions, organisational charts and internal reports relating to the management of information within an organisation.
Information is kept by Statewide Trades & Labour Hire until notified that an individual no longer requires the services of the company. From time to time, Statewide Trades & Labour Hire may request the information provided by candidates or clients be undated, or the individual or client may provide such updated information as appropriate.
In the case of employment records, details are kept for the period required by Australian law.
Use of information
Statewide Trades & Labour Hire keeps secure all personal information relating to candidates and clients, however in order to nominate candidates for relevant positions it is necessary to provide such personal information to clients of Statewide Trades & Labour Hire, that enables clients to make an informed decision regarding the employment of a candidate. This information includes, but is not limited to, a current resume, interview and referee comments.
Security of information
Information collected by Statewide Trades & Labour Hire is not disclosed to any other party without the permission of the individual or company. Where Statewide Trades & Labour Hire discloses such information to third parties, Statewide Trades & Labour Hire obtains appropriate contractual protection from those third parties in relation to any disclosed personal information.
